Lynn Gailey was Director, Film Development at the Australian Film Commission and has worked in the film and television industry in a wide range of capacities.

With roles from ranging from continuity to production manager, and credits that include A Town Like Alice, Newsfront, Starstruck, Burke and Wills, Mosquito Coast and The Perfectionist and Cosi as Associate Producer, Lynn has extensive knowledge of the people and the processes of film production.

She was Director Film Development at the Australian Film Commission from 1991 to 1994 and has worked with Film Australia, the South Australian Film Corporation and the Australian Film Television and Radio School.

As Federal Policy Officer at the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance, Lynn pursued the union’s commitment to occupational health and safety and, among other union priorities, helped shape its approach to trade agreements, especially when they threatened to compromise Australia’s right to domestically determine its cultural policy.

From 2009 to 2012 she was Research Manager for the Music Council of Australia.
