Joshua_MarksJoshua Marks is a freelance documentary filmmaker, based at Fox Studios Australia. Since 2009 he has filmed in 7 countries and worked in small crews or independently. 

In 2016 Joshua was Filmmaker-In-Residence at the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) at UNSW Business School. Commissioned to make a documentary for its 40th anniversary he conducted 46 interviews and delved deep into its controversial past made possible in part by many oral histories from their archives.

In 2012 Joshua made My Grandparents, distributed through Ronin Films it recorded his remaining grandparents in their day to day lives while he still could.

He continues to record the people around him for many possible longitudinal films.

Joshua has a graduate diploma in documentary from AFTRS. He is a member of the OzDox Australian Documentary Forum committee and an Active Member of the Australian Cinematographers Society. He has invested in an LTO machine to archive his and others’ work before hard drives fail.
