National Archives of Australia marked World Audiovisual Heritage Day 2021 with a short (6 mins) video about their work in restoring and preserving their film, video and audio recordings – before they deteriorate beyond any chance of rescue.  The video was shot and directed by AMOHG members Rod Freedman (Producer/Director) and Joshua Marks (Cinematographer, Sound), and AMOHG member and NAA’s Assistant Film Preservation Manager Quentin Turnour assisted in providing archival material.

NAA preserves all government records – including over a million audio, film and video items produced by government and public organizations such as the ABC, and (jointly with NFSA) by Film Australia and its predecessors.
